Dr Peter van Praagh died peacefully on Saturday 13th September, 2008 at Taranaki Base hospital, New Plymouth, New Zealand. Aged 82yrs. Dearly loved husband and companion of Jeannie & father of Graeme, Sandy and Lorraine, Mark and Deb, John and Maree, Paul and Nicky, David and Jenny. Grandfather of Deborah, Denise, Kate, Tom, Jayne, Peter, Luke, Daniel, Shaun, Jaimee and Zoe and great grandfather of Rebecca, Matthew and Jamie. A dedicated carer and giver to his family and community. He will be sorely missed by all who were touched by him.

My maternal grandmother was Daisy Brown, one of 5 siblings inc Roy, Isa, Lewis(Buster) and Vi, children of Abraham Brown and Jeannette Van Praagh, They emigrated to South Africa in 1905/6.. Anyone out there connected..?

Dear reader, I am very curious about if someone is still updating the van Praagh website. The latest entries I found dat from the year 2000. If there still is someone on the other end of this line I would like to get in touch with you. I have a "van Praag" family tree dating back to 21 Februari 1800, the birth date of Meyer Abraham van Praag. However I was not able to link it to the family tree(s) on this web-site. Could be interesting. My full name is Robert van Praag. People call me Rob. I was born on the 23rd of april 1961 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and currently live in The Hague.
